Tool Servicing & Calibration

Calibration intervals must be established by the customer based on equipment usage, application criticality, historical performance and internal quality requirements.

Norbar can provide technical guidance, but a stated calibration interval does not guarantee that a tool will remain within tolerance for that full period.

Calibration measures and records the performance of a tool against defined requirements.

Servicing involves inspection, adjustment, maintenance or repair. Calibration does not automatically include servicing, adjustment or repairs.

If the tool is outside tolerance or additional work is required, the job may be paused while we assess the issue and provide a revised quotation.

Repairs, replacement parts or additional testing proceed only after approval and, where required, an updated purchase order.

No. Only Norbar’s Adelaide laboratory is NATA accredited.

Workshop calibrations are NATA traceable because the reference equipment used in our workshops is calibrated annually through the accredited laboratory.

Applicable hand torque wrenches are calibrated to ISO 6789:2017 Part 1 and receive a Declaration of Conformance.

As Found records the condition and performance of the tool before any adjustment, servicing or repair is completed.

As Left records the condition and performance of the tool after the approved work has been completed.

Workshop calibration is completed As Left by default. An As Found result must be requested before booking and attracts an additional charge.

No. A booking date reserves workshop capacity but is not a guaranteed completion date.

Inspection, calibration, servicing, repairs, approval delays, parts availability and documentation can all affect turnaround.

Turnaround depends on workshop workload, equipment condition, repair requirements and parts availability.

The current lead time will be confirmed when the job is booked or quoted. Additional repairs, approvals or parts requirements may extend the completion date.

No. Tools must be sent to or booked into the appropriate Norbar workshop, approved service partner or Adelaide laboratory.
