How to use a Norbar HT3 Series Hand Torque Multiplier

Video Transcript

Hi, my name’s Daniel, I’m from Norbar Australia, and I’m going to be showing you a HT3 Series Hand Torque Multiplier. This multiplier ranges from 1000 Newton-metres up to 2700. For this demonstration I’m going to be showing off a HT3-1000.

In the box, you get a hand torque multiplier with a half inch input, three quarter inch output and a five to one multiplication ratio. You get two reaction arms as standard, a cranked arm and a straight bar. This allows for use on various bolting applications. You also get a locking pin which retains the reaction arm. Finally, our safety and instructional guide.

For this demonstration, I’m going to be using the standard cranked arm. I’m gonna retain the socket using a retaining clip. And then I’m going to be supplementing that with our Professional 200 Torque Wrench. I’m going to engage the multiplier on the nut. Apply my torque wrench, and set the tool to 40 Newton-metres, which is going to get me an output torque of 200. And now, applying force, I’m going to keep applying until I hear the click. And now that bolt is done up to 200 Netwon-metres.

And that is our HT3-1000. For more information, feel free to give us a call anytime.
