How to use a Norbar Protronic Plus Digital Torque Wrench

Video Transcript

Hi, my name’s Daniel, I’m from Norbar Australia, and I’m going to be showing you our latest range of digital torque wrenches. For this demonstration I’m going to be showing you our Protronic Plus 340 Torque Wrench.

In the box, you get your torque wrench and you get a series of documentation. First of which is your certificate of calibration for torque plus and minus 2%. And a certificate of calibration for angle plus and minus 1%.

You’ll also get your quick reference guide which shows you some of the basic functionality of the wrench. I’m going to show you some of the features of the wrench. We have a detachable push-through ratchet. Ergonomic handle for comfort. LED display for easy setting of the tool. And also a backing light which indicates when you’re about to reach your target torque.

Now I’m going to show you how to use the wrench. We’re going to turn it on. You’re going to hear that beep. That’s fully customisable in the settings and you can remove it if you wish. I’m going to set the tool to 70 Newton-metres, and now I’m going to head over to the wheel, fully engage the socket. Now as I apply torque, the backing light is going to indicate when I’ve reached my desired torque, flashing green and also, you’ll hear that beep. If I overshoot, the wrench is going to highlight that flashing read and indicating what your final torque output actually is.

And that’s all there is to it. If you’d like to learn more about this wrench, feel free to give us a call anytime.
